My Explanation Of Hiking - Achievement !
Before you go on a hike, you must be prepared with 5 five things; food, water, something for shelter, safety equipment and some gear. To be prepared, you MUST tell someone where you are off too. Check the weather, make some plans for your walk and know where you are going. The track distance for the Tupapakurua is; 11 km returning from Fishers road parking area. Hike; the definition of a hike is a long walk or a walking tour. Going on a hike can be very tedious. Hiking can also be very dangerous. That’s why, everytime you go on a hike. Be prepared sharply. Going on a hike and then getting lost is not going to take you anywhere. Have a compos, a watch for the time and maybe someone else so you will have protection. Be prepared ! It’s the best thing you can do. Some tracks can be very bumpy, slippery, slimy and sometimes you don’t even know what kind of track it is. Before the hike, you should pack some hiking shoes with strong grip so you can walk safely on the path without any injuries. During the hike you should have them on your feet. Going home with scratches and bruises will cost you a lot of help. ACHIEVE !

You have included the features of the explanation writing style well here Hannah. Definition, description, operations and special features. You also use many of the text features such as connectives and time linking words (before). You have a narrative writing style which is very reader friendly, remember that explanations are usually non-fiction and written more formally.
ReplyDeleteI do like the way that you use capitals and exclamation marks to add effect. When I read your work, I can really tell that you enjoy writing, this is excellent! Keep up the dedication.
