Life Jackets - Cool ?

On Tuesday, we were taught how to put on a life jacket and what to do with it. We were put into pairs and we took a life jacket for our pairs from our teacher. We made demonstrations and started playing a little with the life jackets. It was really funny because some of us were bumping into each other on 'Purpose', especially me. Life jackets are really important when you are in some kind of water, like the ocean. Life jackets can save lives. It was really really fun learning about life jackets and I hope that we actually get to go in the water with one.

My Explanation Of Hiking - Achievement !

hiking.jpg
Before you go on a hike, you must be prepared with 5 five things; food, water, something for shelter, safety equipment and some gear. To be prepared, you MUST tell someone where you are off too. Check the weather, make some plans for your walk and know where you are going. The track distance for the Tupapakurua is; 11 km returning from Fishers road parking area. Hike; the definition of a hike is a long walk or a walking tour. Going on a hike can be very tedious. Hiking can also be very dangerous. That’s why, everytime you go on a hike. Be prepared sharply. Going on a hike and then getting lost is not going to take you anywhere. Have a compos, a watch for the time and maybe someone else so you will have protection. Be prepared ! It’s the best thing you can do. Some tracks can be very bumpy, slippery, slimy and sometimes you don’t even know what kind of track it is. Before the hike, you should pack some hiking shoes with strong grip so you can walk safely on the path without any injuries. During the hike you should have them on your feet. Going home with scratches and bruises will cost you a lot of help. ACHIEVE !

My Graphs ! ❤

Today, I learnt how to present my data as a line graph and an area graph. Even though I already knew how to make graphs, I still needed a little bit of help. It was fun making the graphs and I can't wait for another maths time !

Basketball Recount - ❤

On Tuesday, we had another fun morning at basketball.
We were all really excited and pumped up, ready to go. Straight after the bell rang, we made our way to the court, where coach Steph was standing patiently. We lined up straight and waited for our instructions to be called out. For our warm-up, we had relays. But we wanted to play statues and I know that because I'm a sidekick xP Just kidding ! Anyways, for our relays, we had to run to the far end of the court and then run back. Everyone was running, except me. I couldn't really move my left leg for some reason. I didn't know why, but it was sore. I tried my hardest, but couldn't get to the end of the court. It was funny because everyone was racing each other and trying to beat one another. I was laughing my head off. They all ran as fast as cheetahs. People were running from this side to the other in a split second.

Our next activity was to get in to two lines with our partners on the this side or the other. Coach Steph said "You guys have to chest pass the ball to each other, WHILE stepping forward with one foot". We did as told and chest passed the ball to each other. After every move we were told to do, that was related to basketball, we had a competition. We had to chest pass or bounce pass or just pass the ball to each other without dropping the ball and try to get up to 15 or more passes. That was really hilarious because we were all like trying to make other partners lose. Especially me :P

After all that fun and mucking around, it came to end of our lesson with coach Steph. We said our farewells and headed back to class. We were really high, that we could do anything. I can't wait for our next lesson !

My Perfectly Made Graphs

Today, our class we're taught how to make a bar graph and a pie graph. We had to choose what kind of graph and I chose a pie graph. I finished my graph on time before our teacher had to stop us. It was really fun making the graph because we were mucking around with the colours and the fonts. We were making fun of some of the ugly colours. But I didn't only make a pie graph, I also made a BAR GRAPH ! Perfect, right ?

Would basketball be a good game for someone short to play?
No, I don’t think so because if you watch basketball games, you’ll see how tall all the players are.

What question would you ask an international referee about the signals made during the game?
I would ask them “How is it possible to remember all those confusing signals?” Good, aye ? ? ?

What are some of the advantages and disadvantages of having amateur,
professional and international rules? The advantages are that the professional and international rules are creative and they are easy to obey. The disadvantages are that some of the rules can be very hard to understand and do.

Create a new game using basketball as a starting idea.
There are two separate teams and the rules are: You have to crawl while bouncing the ball. You have to try and get a goal without anyone from the other team getting you. If the ball separates from your hand, you have to hold your breath until someone from your team tags one of your knees.

Do you think introducing games from other countries is a good or a bad thing?
I think it’s a good thing because ‘Sharing is Caring’. Introducing something you know or made to someone different or a different country can make your game or the game a big hit. You have to express yourself.
