My Sports Experience

On a cold damp morning room 7 went to soccer to learn skills. Mr Wan our teacher, is from Spain.  We were surprised when he said that. We warmed up and we were getting ready to kick some butt. Room 7 was charged up ready to go. Everyone was
sent to a court to play, 3 in each team. We were warming up so we can get ready to go, go, go!!!

I was on to the game. I dribble, kick, and pass. I really try hard, I play hard, I play rough. All I wanted was the ball. I dribble, kick, pass, watching the goal getting ready to kick and SCORE! I score a spectacular goal for my team. I felt really, really happy. The other team felt really sad but we didn’t even care because we were celebrating with shouting and screaming. Nearly the whole school could hear us!
Suddenly I felt totally exhausted. I wanted a drink of water but I really wanted to score another goal. The game was on again and I played my hardest. My eyes were glued  to the goal. I watched the goal with my blood red tired eyes. I dribble, pass, kick, pass, kick and SCORE! Another breathtaking goal. Yeah my team won the game! It was the best time of my life. We all celebrated with cheering, shouting, and screaming. Mr Wan was very proud of us because we had put more effort than ever before.
YEAH!!!

I go back to class so exhausted and tired. I was very very hungry and thirsty.
Finally the bell rang. All I wanted to do was munch on my lunch and drink cold, fresh, delicious water. I felt the fresh water running down my throat like a waterfall.I  ate so much that I felt as full as a gorilla.

Me, Myself, And I

My name is Hannah and I am 10 yrs old. I am a full Samoan and my parents and older brother are too. My little sister and my two younger brothers were all born in New Zealand but  I was born in Samoa. In my family my dad was born in Savaii,Samoa. My mum was born in Upolu, Samoa. I was born in Moto’otua Hospital Apia, Samoa. When I was 3 yrs old I moved to New Zealand with my parents. My brother didn’t come with us because my grandpa refused to let him come as he would take care of him. I felt like I was going to leave my brother forever so I broke into tears.
I  am very interested in a band called One Direction. In the future I would like to become a famous singer and even become a music teacher so I can teach students art and music.
I have always wanted to work in a vet’s so I can save animals when they are sick because
I really love animals and animals are like a family to me.
My learning goals  are moving up two levels in my Reading, Maths, and Spelling. Singing, playing piano, spelling and sports are my hobbies. I am also very interested in Christmas songs, and playing the piano.
When I leave High School I want to find a good job to help my family and save some money for my future. I am very good at spelling and writing but I would like to improve even more
in them. In Maths, I would like to have more power and strength like  I do in my Writing and Spelling.
At home I always watch channel 75 on my sky TV. There’s a show called Orangutan Island that’s my favourite show. I watch that show so I can learn more about working with
a vet and know how to get better at it.

Cultural Walk

Today four people in room 7 was presenting their presentations. The rest of the class was rotating to other classes. We were showing them one student from our classes presentation. Me, Gemima, Gabriel, & Lisiate were presenting, but Lisiate was presenting Anamanu's presentation. While we were setting up for the rotation we were listening to "In The Jungle". I was a little nervous when the classes came but I managed it. The first class to come in was room 4. We told them to sit on the floor so they can see Anamanu's presentation. Lisiate started to read and the kids were listening very well. There were a lot of good facts about South Africa. Everyone was interested and asked them questions while we Lisiate was reading. When Lisiate was finally finished Miss Anderson put them in three groups, one group came to me, the other went to Gemima, and the last went to Gabriel. I was showing my group my presentation and the other two was showing theirs to their group. I took them around the classroom without touching anything. They went to the big table and they were surprised when they saw the vuvuzela. The vuvuzela is type of instrument that was made in South Africa. The bell rang for the classes to move to the next class and see what they have found out of they're culture. The next class to come was room 2. We did the same thing to all the classes over and over and over again, it was boring and fun at the same time.

Zach's Happy Day In Room 7

Zach is a Golden Retriever and he belongs to Miss Anderson. He visited us at school today and we got to learn more about him. Zach's favourite food is pie, but he only gets pie on his birthday. In his life he has had ten pies. He was born in 2002, 26th of April. Zach has a little toy called Kathleen named after Miss Anderson's past pupil. He never wants to share her and he always carries Kathleen around in his mouth. Miss Anderson also has a cat called Archie. Zach's favourite hobby is snatching Archie's lunch. Zach is adorable. He spent 9 years with Miss Anderson learning his manners and that's why he is so friendly, sometimes he is very quiet.

The worlds best swimmer

A rainy damp morning. Today we started with Swimming. My class and I went to Glen Innes pools to learn swimming lessons with swimming coaches. We walked all the way to the pools and then it started to rain so we had to walk faster. It was cold when we hopped into the pool, but then it got warmer. I felt as wet as a seal. We learned lessons with Myka. She tought us lessons that we already knew but we had to practice a lot to get the hang of it. The pool was quite deep but I nailed it. I wish we could go swimming again next year with the same coach teaching a lot of skills that we haven't learnt. I really enjoyed swimming with my coach a lot. I could be the worlds best swimmer by the end of this season.
