WALT: identifying syllables

SC: write a haiku poem about softball

Today, we were learning how to find out the formula of a haiku poem.

Softball ain’t my thing,

so all i do is stand there,

i don’t like softball.

MUSIC is my thing,

it relaxes me calmly,

it makes life better,

ღ War ღ

war is the pronunciation of death
it starts with happiness
but, ends with only one breath
so, why wouldn't we just be friends ?
way before those comments
way before we started those pretends

the soldiers who lost their families
or even became insanity
the lives of many shredded
i don't think they knew where they were headed
but, now that they've fought their lives for us
all that we know
is that there would be no more fuss

The Willing Scissors

Two metal blades

sitting on the table

Dying for another

paper to cut

But all I could do was

wait and wait & wait & wait!!

One strange man

with a beautiful piece of paper

He picked me up

to snip, snip, snip

All the way to the

other end

It was the best thing ever

I felt free again!!!
